Sin embargo, casi todas estas creaciones de formas exc\u00e9ntricas y de prestaciones inconcebibles nunca acaban en un astillero. Este no es el caso del Adastra, un imponente trimar\u00e1n de 42,5 metros de eslora, cuya construcci\u00f3n se est\u00e1 ultimando en China. Algunas publicaciones especializadas ya hablan de esta afilada embarcaci\u00f3n como el futuro (real) de las grandes esloras.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El estudio brit\u00e1nico <strong>emple\u00f3 cinco a\u00f1os en investigar<\/strong> y dise\u00f1ar este superyate. Un proceso que siempre se llev\u00f3 a cabo conversando con los propietarios, Anto y Elaine Marden, una pareja afincada en Hong Kong que necesitaba un barco para largas y c\u00f3modas traves\u00edas para toda la familia.<\/p>\n<p>La inmensa cantidad de combustible que devora un superyate y la contaminaci\u00f3n que produce son dos de los principales problemas de las grandes esloras. El equipo de dise\u00f1o se esmer\u00f3 en minimizar estos puntos d\u00e9biles. Tomando como base dise\u00f1os como el <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/elmundo\/2007\/12\/18\/ciencia\/1197993005.html\" target=\"_blank\">Earthrace<\/a><\/strong> o el Cable and Wireless, trimaranes ideados para batir r\u00e9cords de velocidad, el dise\u00f1ador<strong> analiz\u00f3 cada uno de los elementos del Adastra<\/strong>, realizando numerosas pruebas en tanques de agua y con modelos <em>gobernados<\/em> por radiocontrol. As\u00ed fue posible hallar un dise\u00f1o con el que <strong>aumentar la estabilidad y reducir el peso y el consumo<\/strong> de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>La generosa manga del Adastra (16 metros) ha permitido ubicar en la cubierta principal <strong>un gran sal\u00f3n <\/strong><em><strong>vestido<\/strong><\/em><strong> con unos enormes ventanales<\/strong> que ofrecen una vista panor\u00e1mica, as\u00ed como la entrada de luz a las entra\u00f1as del superyate. Tambi\u00e9n hay espacio para una sala de estar, una mesa y una estaci\u00f3n de navegaci\u00f3n. Todos los interiores del barco han sido dise\u00f1ados por el estudio de Hong Kong Jepsen Designs.<\/p>\n<p>Hacia proa encontramos un \u00e1rea para el esparcimiento, dominada por una gigantesca cama para descansar al aire libre y tomar el sol. La cubierta de popa es una zona social donde poder tomar una copa y conversar en el sof\u00e1, al mismo tiempo que <strong>hay espacio suficiente para una lancha de casi cinco metros de eslora<\/strong>. Justo por debajo se halla el garaje donde, adem\u00e1s de para otros <em>juguetes<\/em> acu\u00e1ticos hay espacio para otra lancha de hasta tres metros.<\/p>\n<p>Otra de las soluciones que llaman la atenci\u00f3n en el Adastra es, precisamente, el <strong>garaje, cuya puerta se despliega<\/strong> de tal forma que crea una plataforma de ba\u00f1o descomunal.<\/p>\n<p>Los materiales empleados tambi\u00e9n marcan el camino para futuros superyates. Para la superestructura, se apost\u00f3 por <strong>fibra de carbono y de nido de abeja nomex<\/strong>. Ambos compuestos destacan por su resistencia y ligereza. Para el casco se utiliz\u00f3 fibra de vidro y kevlar. Adem\u00e1s cada uno de los elementos a bordo, desde las escotillas hasta las bisagras, est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados y construidos expresamente para esta asombrosa embarcaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 a punto
